With a lights out 2nd Half your senior Knights took care of business in Stoney Creek with a 36-0 win! #OWE #Finish
— STMKnights (@STM_Football) September 27, 2019
No. 1 St. Thomas More Knights (3-0, 1-0) – The Steeltown rivalry continues with STM coming out on top once more. Unfortunately for CFC50 No. 29 Cardinal Newman, they were denied and shut out, 36-0. Remaining undefeated going into week 6, the Knights are well on their way back to the OFSAA Bowl Championship and their 4th consecutive year at No. 1 on the CFC50 rankings.
Sr #Browns Football with a 61-0 win over BOB last night. #GoBrownsGo

No. 2 St. Francis Browns (2-0, 2-0) – Another big shutout win for the Browns, 61-0, against Bishop O’Byrne. It’s a good thing they had an easier game this past weekend as their game coming up is one of the most anticipated in Alberta. CFC50 No. 6 Notre Dame Pride will be standing across from them at McMahon Stadium (as is their tradition). This year they may play at Shouldice, but either way, the atmosphere is bound to be electric and always a preview to what the Calgary city playoffs could be like.
No. 3 Séminaire Saint-François Blizzard (5-0) – The Blizzard continue to dominate in Quebec with their 25-2 victory over CFC50 No. 47 Curé-Antoine-Labelle. Like in Alberta, the Blizzard will face their nemesis in CFC50 No. 8 Saint-Jean-Eudes. Always a highly anticipated game, the Blizzard want to erase last year’s loss, 10-4, to SJE. Have no doubt, SJE will also come out in full force as there is much more on the line than just the standings…
No. 4 Holy Names Knights (Windsor) (1-0*, 0-2) – It would be fair to say the Knights have yet to really be tested. With a forfeit win this last weekend to Massey, we are sure they can’t wait for this weekend as they face CFC50 No. 13, the Herman Green Griffins – another fantastic matchup you won’t want to miss.
Loving the spirit at CCH as they support United Way! @ldcsb @unitedwaylm pic.twitter.com/0ypOyAAbq9

No. 5 Catholic Central Crusaders (1-0, 1-1) – CCH came away with a 43-14 win over St. Joseph’s this past weekend and will go into their bye week and will face Mother Teresa on Oct. 10th.

Who’s getting ranked?
For the tenth year in a row, Canadafootballchat.com (CFC) is pleased to bring you the national high school football rankings known as the CFC50.
The CFC50 rankings considers all conference and non-conference games (in Canada and the United States) while scrimmages are not evaluated (there is no such thing as an exhibition game – those are classified as non-conference games) and forfeit* wins are not considered towards overall record.
How is the CFC50 evaluated?
Leagues included in rankings: British Columbia AAA Varsity, Alberta Tier One, Saskatchewan 12-man rural / 6A / Schwann, Manitoba AAA Varsity, Ontario OFSAA Bowl AAA qualified teams, Quebec Juvenile Division 1, New Brunswick 12-man, Nova Scotia (all teams excluding CFC25 eligible teams).
The CFC50 is a RELATIVE RANKING that considers top tier leagues from all eight high school playing provinces (minimum one team represented from each province) and the strength of the league. Additional criteria used to determine the relative ranking are the ability to accomplish winning a championship, the impact players and performers on that team (ie. CFC100s, CDN All-Stars etc.), and a team’s coaching and recent tradition.
The CFC Scouting Bureau consists of CFC Reporters, CFC Scouts, and selected local reporters and scouts who submit local ranking results on a weekly basis. The CFC50 is released every Monday (other than on Holidays) at 12 noon.
