Marquise Thompson

CFC # 3 WF Herman Green Griffins (WECSSAA):

This past weekend, CFC # 3 WF Herman Green Griffins improved to 4-0 with a 35-16 victory over Cardinal Carter Cougars.  Marquis Thompson and Devon Wood created some offensive magic as they connected for three touchdown scores. Riley Milligan and Spencer Trinier each tallied a rushing major for the Green Griffins.

Next up for the Green Griffins is St. Joseph Lasers on Friday October 10th at 3:00pm.

Cardinal Newman Cardinals 2014

CFC # 6 Cardinal Newman Cardinals (HWCAA):

It was a special victory this past weekend for CFC # 7 Cardinal Newman Cardinals. By defeating their archrivals Bishop Ryan Celtics 39-3, the Cardinals won the Father Cote Cup.

CFC 100 Justin Connolly scored three majors (1 yard rushing, 4 yard rushing, 19 yard reception) to lead the way for the Cardinals. Clark Adams had a 70 yard touchdown reception and Marcus DiLoreto added a 31 yard touchdown score. Kicker Steven Frketich added a 40 yard field goal and six PAT’s. Quarterback Jake Marquette has three touchdown passes in the victory.

A big battle is on the horizon for the Cardinals as the team squares of against CFC #21 St Thomas More Knights on Friday at 12:00pm.

Liam Putt 2014

CFC # 9 Assumption Lions (BCSSAA):

CFC # 9 Assumption Lions will not play their next game until Friday October 17th, when the team will host Brantford Colts.  All eyes will be on CFC 100 pivot Liam Putt. Kickoff is 8:00pm.

CFC #13 Huron Heights Warriors (YRAA):

On Friday afternoon, CFC # 13 Huron Heights Warriors crushed Brother Andre Cardinals 74-0.

Luke Griese led the way for the Warriors with three rushing touchdowns, five PAT’s and two safeties.  Michael Strumos and Colin Grant each tallied two majors.  Skyler McMurty and Jamie Hollingworth each scored a touchdown in the win.

The Warriors will square off against their archrivals Bill Crothers Colts on Thursday at 3:00pm.

Assumption Crusaders

CFC # 16 Assumption Crusaders HSSAA:

This past weekend, CFC # 16 Assumption Crusaders earned a 21-0 victory over Nelson Lords.  Next up for the Crusaders is the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Wednesday at 2:00pm.

CFC # 17 Holy Trinity Titans (HSSAA):

CFC # 17  Holy Trinity Titans cruised to a 43-14 victory over Corpus Christi Longhorns.  The Titans next game is against TA Blakelock Tigers on Thursday October 16th at 2:00pm.

St Roch versus Lorne Park 2014

CFC # 20 St. Roch Ravens (ROPSSAA):

This past weekend, CFC # 21 St. Roch Ravens accomplished a major feat as the team gained their first victory at Lorne Park Field.  The Ravens earned a 23-0 victory over the Lorne Park Spartans in muddy conditions.

Two defensive touchdowns were the difference in the Ravens victory – Ovie Akpeneyle recovered a fumble and ran it into the end zone for a 50 yard touchdown score while Akeem Knowles scored a 20 yard major after a bungled snap. Malcolm Miller also tallied a major for the victors.  

This week, the Ravens will host St Thomas Aquinas Cardinals for a Friday afternoon matinee at 1:00pm.

Mitchell Phillips 2

CFC # 21 St Thomas More Knights (HWCAA):

Pivot Mitchell Phillips dashed into the end zone for a 30 yard go-ahead touchdown score as CFC # 21 St. Thomas More Knights got past St. Jean de Brebeuf Braves. The Knights will host CFC # 6 Cardinal Newman Cardinals in a key showdown on Friday at noon.

Nick Pinelli

CFC # 24 AB Lucas Vikings (TVRAA):

Under Friday Night Lights, CFC # 24 AB Lucas Vikings coasted to a 42-16 victory over East Elgin Eagles.  The Vikings will visit Medway Cowboys on Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm.  All eyes will be on CFC 100 defensive lineman Nick Pinelli as well as Vikings pivot Tristan Arndt.

Gators Trojans Jarrett

CFC # 26 Pickering Trojans (LOSSAA):

This past weekend, CFC # 26 Pickering Trojans earned a 26-0 shutout victory over St. Mary Monarchs.  Next up for the Trojans is a Thursday afternoon matinee with Paul Dwyer Saints. Kickoff is 2:00pm

CFC # 27 Upper Canada College Blues (CISAA):

CFC # 27 Upper Canada College Blues look to go 3-0, but will have to wait until October 17th when the team hosts St.Michael’s Kerry Blues for a duel under Friday Night Lights.  Kickoff is 7:30 pm.One player to watch for on the Blues is  CFC 100 linebacker Philippe Archambault.

St Marcellinus Spirit 2014

CFC # 28 St Marcellinus Spirit (ROPSSAA):

This past weekend, CFC # 28  St. Marcellinus Spirit improved to 3-0 on the season as the team defeated Meadowvale Falcons 35-13.This Friday the Spirit will meet St Edmund Campion Bears on Friday at noon.

CFC # 29 Catholic Central Crusaders (TVRAA):

CFC # 29  Catholic Central Crusaders cruised to a 31-7 win over St Joseph’s Rams.  The Crusaders will host the Rams for the second game of the home and home series on Friday at 3:00pm.

CFC # 31 St. Joan of Arc Knights (GBSSA):

Last week, CFC # 31 St. Joan of Arc Knights crushed Bear Creek Kodiaks 54-6. On Thursday, the Knights will host Innisdale Invaders. Kickoff is 4:30pm.

Jacob Hespeler Hawks win

CFC # 32 Jacob Hespeler Hawks (WCSSAA):

CFC # 32 Jacob Hespeler Hawks move to 3-0 by cruising to a 27-3 victory over Grand River Renegades.

The Hawks will host Bluevale Knights on Friday at 3:00pm.

CFC # 34 Resurrection Phoenix (WCSSAA):

Last week, CFC # 34 Resurrection Phoenix earned a 28-0 shutout victory over Cameron Heights Golden Gaels.

Domenic Valincic, Scott Lane, Devon Mahon and Tyler Woods each tallied a major for the Phoenix.

On Wednesday, the Phoenix entertains the Eastwood Rebels at 3:30pm.

blessed trinity versus St Paul 2014

CFC # 35 St Paul Patriots (NRHSAA):

Defensive back Jordan Terrio intercepted a pass and ran it into the end zone for a 65 yard touchdown score as CFC # 35 St Paul Patriots defeated Blessed Trinity Thunder 36-10.

The Patriots will visit Notre Dame Irish on Wednesday at 1:00pm.

Zach Herzog Holy Names

CFC # 36 Holy Names Knights (WECSSAA):

At Windsor Stadium, CFC # 36 Holy Names Knights squeezed out a 10-6 victory over Belle River Nobles.

Next up for the Knights is a battle against L’Essor Aigles on Thursday at 3:00pm.

High School exhibition football tournament.

CFC # 39 Sydenham Golden Eagles (KASSAA):

CFC # 39 Sydenham Golden Eagles look to go 3-0 as the team will battle La Salle Black Knights on Thursday October 9th at 4:45pm.

In their last game, the Golden Eagles defeated the Holy Cross Crusaders 30-21.

CFC # 44 Superior Heights Steelhawks (NOSSA):

Under Friday Night Lights, CFC # 44  Superior Heights Steelhawks thumped St. Basil Saints 27-3.

Pivot Austin Maccarone completed five passes in eight attempts for 94 yards.  Jeff Auger scored two rushing majors (43 yards, 1 yard). Max Fisher and Lau Frecha each added a touchdown for the victors.

On defense, Mark McLean registered four tackles to lead the Steelhawks.

Tonight,  the Steelhawks host St. Mary’s Saints at 7:00pm.

St Patrick Fighting Irish Ottawa

CFC # 45 St. Patrick’s Irish (NCSSAA):

Last week, CFC # 45  St Patrick’s Irish earned a 33-0 shutout against St. Francis Xavier Coyotes.

Next up for the Irish is a battle against St Peter Knights at 7:30pm.

St Charles Cardinals

CFC # 46 St Charles Cardinals (NOSSA):

CFC # 46  St Charles Cardinals cruised to a 31-7 victory over Notre Dame Allouettes.

On Thursday, the Cardinals will host Lasalle Lancers at 7:00pm.

Chaminade Gryphons

CFC # 47 Chaminade Gryphons (TDCAA):

It was a celebratory Homecoming for CFC # 47  Chaminade Gryphons as the team earned a 21-0 shutout victory over Don Bosco Eagles.

The Gryphons will visit Blessed Mother Theresa Titans on Wednesday.  Kickoff is 5:00pm.

AN Myer Marauders

CFC # 49 A.N Myer Marauders (NRHSAA):

Matt Burns scored two touchdowns (20 & 15 yards) as CFC # 49 A.N Myer Marauders earned a 45-0 shutout victory over Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs.

Pivot Tre Ford connected with Michael Casciano (15 yards), Zyer Harris (15 yards), and Matt Peacock (20 yards) for majors.  Josh Patterson added a 20 yard field goal. Ford also got in on the scoring with a 25 yard dash into the end zone.

On defense, Tyrell Ford caught an interception while Austin Potter, Tagg Rive, Julian Canali and Michael Matovic each recorded a sack.

The Marauders will visit Denis Morris Redmen on Thursday night at 7:00pm.

CFC # 50 Cardinal Carter Cougars (WECSSAA):

Last week, CFC # 50  Cardinal Carter Cougars lost to CFC # 3 WF Herman Green Griffins 35-16.

Dan Metcalfe and Chris Tannous each scored a touchdown for the Cougars.

On Thursday, the Cougars will entertain Catholic Central Comets.  Game start is 3:00pm.

SAC versus TCS

St Andrew’s College Saints (CISAA):

In one of the big upsets of the week, St. Andrew’s College Saints were defeated by Trinity College Bears 43-36.

The Saints will try to regroup and get back into the win column as the team plays next on Saturday October 25th against Villanova College Knights.  Kickoff is 1:30pm.

Don Bosco Eagles (TDCAA):

Last week, Don Bosco Eagles lost to host Chaminade Gryphons 21-0.

Next up for the Eagles is Father Henry Carr Crusaders on Thursday at 5:00pm.

Crestwood Mustangs (COSSA):

The Crestwood Mustangs was on a losing end of a tight battle against Adam Scott Lions, 6-5.

Today, the team will host Haliburton Highlands Red Hawks.  Kickoff is 2:00pm.

St Thomas Aquinas Flames (TVRAA):

St Thomas Aquinas Flames cruised to a 32-3 win over Mother Teresa Spartans.  These two teams meet again under Friday Night Lights at 7:00pm.

Sarnia Northern

Sarnia Northern Vikings (SWOSSAA):

The Sarnia Northern Vikings remain undefeated (3-0) with a 19-3 victory over Chatham Kent Golden Hawks.

Walker Breen

John F Ross Royals (Guelph District 10):

Last week, John F Ross Royals suffered their first home defeat since 2010 as Guelph CVI Green Gaels handed them a 36-10 defeat.

At halftime, the Green Gaels enjoyed a 22-3 lead over the Royals.

Matt Tomlinson tallied the lone major for the Royals.  Cody Burton added a PAT and a 29 yard field goal in the loss.

The Royals will look to rebound against Centennial Spartans on Thursday night at 7:30pm

Enzo Lariccia

Lakeshore Gators (NRHSAA):

The next game for Lakeshore Gators is Wednesday when the team squares off against Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs at 1:00pm.

In their previous game, the Gators overcame a 7-0 deficit to defeat Notre Dame Irish 63-24.  Mack Jones and Enzo Lariccia each tallied three majors in the win.

Last week, the Waterdown Bears got by Sir Allan McNab Lions 20-14.

The Bears will visit Westdale Warriors on Thursday.  Kickoff is 3:30pm.

Central Technical Blues (TDSSAA):

The Central Technical Blues play their next game until Thursday October 9th, when team visits Downsview Mustangs.  Game start is 2:00pm.

In their first game of the season, the Blues lost to Leaside Lancers 17-7.

Richview Saints (TDSSAA):

Richview Saints next game is Wednesday at 2:00pm against Sir John A MacDonald Black Scots.

Bill Crothers Colts (YRAA):

Last week, the Bill Crothers Colts crushed King City Lions 57-3 in the front of the hometown crowd.

On Thursday, the Colts will host a showdown against CFC # 13 Huron Heights Warriors.  Game start is 3:00pm.

Nelson versus Notre Dame 2014

Nelson Lords (HSSAA):

Nelson could not get any offence going on Friday in a driving rain storm and fell to the defending champion Crusaders 21-0. The Lords defence had their best performance of the season but eventually the Assumption backfield was able to breakthrough and control the game. Nelson could not capitalize on some promising offensive drives when they had the chance and the Crusaders defence tightened up to preserve the shutout.

Nelson is back in action on Oct 9th in Georgetown vs. CTK.

Corpus Christi Longhorns (HSSAA):

Corpus Christi Longhorns were defeated by CFC # 17 Holy Trinity Titans 43-14.

The Longhorns will look to get back into the win column when the team hosts TA Blakelock Tigers Wednesday at 2:00pm.

D'Youville Oct 6 1

St. Marguerite d’Youville Panthers (ROPSSAA):

On Friday, St. Marguerite d’Youville Panthers lost to Notre Dame Knights 19-0.

The Panthers have only racked up six points this season, which ranks as lowest in the ROPSSAA league.

The Panthers will host Our Lady of Mount Carmel Crusaders on Thursday at 11:30pm.

Linebacker Anthoine Walker will be one to watch for on the Panthers defense.

St Edmund Campion Bears eked out a 21-17 win over St Thomas Aquinas Cardinals,

This week, the Bears will host St. Marcellinus Spirit on Friday.  Kickoff is noon.

St Peter Knights versus Nelson

St. Peter Knights & Mother Teresa Titans (NCSSAA):

On Thursday, St Peter Knights defeated Mother Teresa Titans 28-10.

The Knights will host CFC # 45 St. Patrick’s Irish on Wednesday night at 7:30pm.

Meanwhile, the Titans will seek their first win of the season when the team entertains St Joseph Jaguars on Thursday at 3:30pm.

St Joseph versus Sir Wilfrid Laurier final score 2014

Sir Wilfrid Laurier Lancers (NCSSAA):

It was CFC 100 Kurleigh Gittens show at St. Joe’s this past weekend.

Gittens scored the go-ahead touchdown with 4:06 left in the game and then added another major with 29 seconds left as Sir Wilfrid Laurier Lancers ties St Joseph Jaguars 29-29.

The Lancers will host St Mark Lions on Thursday at 3:30pm.

The Frontenac Falcons was on the losing end of a 15-14 versus La Salle Black Knights.
