#CFCHSFB PREVIEW (ONT – Waterloo): Plethora of players ready to shine for CFC#22 Hawks

CFC#22 Jacob Hespeler Hawks are looking to continue their winning ways after defeating the Elmira District Lancers 44-14 last week.

Their opponent this week is the Preston Panthers. Last season they defeated the Panthers 35-0 in the first week of the season.

The Hawks biggest strength this season has been their offence.

“Our offence has been clicking pretty good,” said Hawks Head Coach Greg White.

On the other hand, there are a couple aspects of their team that need improvement, such as discipline and defence.

The Hawks have numerous players who are expected to have big games this week, including: Connor Gardiner, Jackson White, Jared Beeksma, Brett Wilson, Mario Pineda and Simon Whitely.

They will have to keep their eye on a couple players from the Panthers.

“A lot of plays run through their slotback, Ty Farrell,” commented White. “Matt Walsh had three touchdowns last week. He comes in and does a bit of wildcat quarterbacking.”

In order for the Hawks to have a chance to win against the Panthers, their offence will have to be running smoothly and their defence will have to step it up.

The game between Jacob Hespeler and Preston will take place on the Panthers’ home turf on Friday, October 23 at 3:00pm.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
