Iain hasΒ hisΒ eyes set on the future.
The 6β1, 175 pound linebacker from Burlington is coming off a season playing for the Burlington Stampeders of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC), Assumption Crusaders of the Halton Secondary School Athletic Association (HSSAA), and the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC).
βMy highlight of last season was being able to play for a great team with great people and I had a great time training with them,β says Iain. Β βWe didnβt get to play for the championship [last year] which was out ultimate goal.”
Iain is determined to work hard in order to become a better football player and have an even more successful season this year.
βIβm just pretty much going to spend countless hours training to make myself better,β says Iain. Β βI train my footwork and stuff like that pretty much every day.”
It is clear that Iain is motivated to excel in football, and he attributes that motivation to a few role models in his life.
βThe most influential people in my life are my parents and some of the coaches Iβve had,β says Iain.
Iain is going into his grade 10 year at Assumption. Β He is already very determined and focused on his future.
βMy future plans are to train hard enough to be able to play football at the next level in the CIS or NCAA,β says Iain, and he currently has his eyes set on Western, McMaster, or Guelph.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
