Toronto defensive back joins AUS team’s 2016 class.

Ronan Silver will be calling New Brunswick his new home for the next few years.

Recently, the 5’11, 165 pound defensive back from Toronto, Ontario committed to Mount Allison Mounties.  Silver will join the team for the 2016 AUS season.

“I committed to Mount A for many reasons; however, the main reason’s for my commitment to MTA are their notorious undergrad program, the small family orientated feel of the team and the school as a whole and the genuine interest coach Scott Brady showed in me,: explained Silver of his decision.  “All of these factor plus many others lead to my commitment to the university.”

“I am extremely excited to get to work next year and start making a name for myself out east.”

The defensive standout has been playing the sport for the past eight years. During his career, Silver completed stints with Northern Red Knights of the Toronto District Secondary School Athletic Association (TDSSAA) as well as both the Scarborough Thunder and Metro Toronto Wildcats of the Ontario Varsity Fotoball League (OVFL).

Moreover, Silver is a previous participant of the 2015 Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) as a member of Team Central’s Varsity squad.
