LOGIN“Football is back!”, said every American this past weekend when the NFL preseason began for all 32 teams. While we Canadians know that statement is laughably untrue, it’s always exciting to check in on our countrymen who have ventured south of the border to pursue their football dreams. Some are undrafted free agents desperate to hold onto a roster spot, while others are established starters just getting their feet wet for the approaching season. CFC100 Class of 2017 DB Jonathan Sutherland of the Seattle Seahawks put his name out there in a big way against the Dallas Cowboys, competing well in coverage all over the field while registering five total defensive tackles. The Seahawks are absolutely loaded in the defensive backfield, but they’ve shown over and over that they will take the best 53 players, and Sutherland took a big step towards being one of those names.
