CFCs “Top 25” High School poll – Week 8 “Whats that streaking across the sky?”


CFCs weekly high school poll for 12-man (11-man in BC) football teams across the country from Antigonish, Nova Scotia to Victoria, British Columbia.

The poll will include teams from all 8 high school playing provinces (PEI & Newfoundland do not play high school tackle football).

1 (3) Raymond Comets – Raymond, AB (7-0)

Defeated Spruce Grove (former CFC ‘HM’) in an exhibition game 56 to 14 to keep the three year undefeated streak alive. Connor Ralph and Jimmy Ralph continue their outstanding play for the comets. Have a bye this week.

2 (4) CollĆØge Notre-Dame Cactus – Montreal (9-0)

Defeated CFC ‘HM’ SĆ©minaire Saint-FranƧois this week at home 36 to 18. Finished regular season in the tough Juvenile AAA Division 1 league undefeated at 9 and 0. Have a bye this weekend as teams placing 3 through 6 play in quarterfinals. Await the lowest seeded survivor.

3 (5) Herman Griffins – Windsor, ON (6-0)

Defeated Kennedy 50 to 7. The Lumleys, Beau and Austin, (RB & QB) combined for 6 TDs in the defeat. Play Kennedy again in this weeks ‘newman semi-finals’ at Windsor Stadium on friday.

4 (1) Aden Bowman Bears – Saskatoon – (7-0)

Defeated CFC ‘HM’ Holy Cross (cross street rival) in a spirited 18 to 17 victory at Griffith Stadium thursday. Down at half time the Bears battled back to secure the victory. QB Drew Burko (Team Saskatchewan) scored on a run and threw a TD to Davis Mitchell. Playoffs begin this thursday.

5 (7) Terry Fox Ravens – Port Coquitlam, BC (3-0, 7-0)

Defeated Lord Tweedsmuir 40 to 0. QB Cam Canales (Team BC) passed for 2 TDs and ran for 2 TDs. Both throws were to Tanner White. Mark Casuga had a TD. Close out regular season in a bang with cross town rival Centennial on Friday then W.J. Mouat CFC # on November 5. Awesome.

6 (2) W.J. Mouat Hawks – Abbotsford, B.C. – (3-0, 7-0)

Defeated Holy Cross 31 to 13. QB Cam Bedore (Team BC) rushed for 3 TDs and passed for one other. Face St. Thomas More this weekend.

7 (8) Citadel Phoenix – Halifax (6-0)

Played late sunday game versus Halifax West and won handily 52 to 0. This may be the best team ever from the maritimes. QB Jesse Mills threw for 319 yards and 5 TDs. Keith graham had 153 yards on 7 carries, 1 rushing TD and 1 receiving TD. Dechaun Beals had 166 yards on 6 carries for 1 TD and Jeremy Ford kicked a field goal. Play Cole Harbour this week.

8 (9) St. Andrew’s – Aurora, ON (8-0)

Defeated Trinity College 47 to 14 to conclude their regular season schedule.

9 (10) St. Paul’s Crusaders – Winnipeg (7-0)

Beat Sisler by a score of 49 to 7 to finish regular season undefeated. Playoffs begin this week.

10 (6) Lakeshore Gators – Port Colborne, ON (7-0)

Defeated Blessed Trinity 27 to 0. Defense played a great game recovering 3 fumbles and DB Nicky Boulard had an interception. Keaton Spratt scored 2 TDs and Lucas Schinkel caught one. Conclude the regular season this friday against Sir Winston Churchill.

11 (16) Resurrection Phoenix- Kitchener, ON (5-0)

Defeated 3 and 1 Cameron Height Gaels 30 to 6. Glorian Ganza continued his strong play with 2 touchdowns. Alex Doczi and Peter Fedy chipped in with one a piece. The Phoenix held Football Canada Cup offensive MVP Tyler Varga to one touchdown. The Phoenix wrap up their season at Southwood Secondary friday in cambridge. CFC will be there. šŸ™‚

12 (13) Bev Facey Falcons – Sherwood Park, AB (7-0)

Beat St. Albert this week 51 to 0. Could play St. Albert again or Austin O’Brien this week

13 (14) Chaminade – Toronto (5-0)

Defeated Weston, again. This time it was 72 to 0 and it was in the Toronto ‘North region semi-finals (last week was 52 to 0). Marvin Bannor was busy kicking 4 field goals and 7 converts.

14 (12) Ɖ. sec. CurĆ©-Antoine-Labelle les Loups – Laval, QC – (8-1)

Les Loups defeated CollĆØge Jean-Eudes saturday at CEPSUM stadium by a score of 37 to 23. Host CollĆØge Jean-Eude in quarter finals this weekend.

15 (17) Huron Heights Warriors- Newmarket, ON (6-0)

Had the bye this week.

16 (18) Harry Ainlay Titans – Edmonton (6-0)

Defeated Strathcona 85 to 3. Play Ross Sheppard this week

17 (20) Vancouver College – Vancouver (4-0, 6-2)

Defeated Carson Graham 43 to 7. Matt Alviz rushed eight times for 123 yards. Charlie Thorpe, Justin Sanvido, Jesse Cervas, Jeff Thichelman, Duncan Onukwulu and Daniel Laventure scored TDs. Van College gets a victory this week due to folding of West Vancouver. Next action is versus Notre Dame.

Defeated Assumption in Halton ‘cross-over’ action 32 to 16. Finish regular season this week versus Bishop Reding.

19 (23) Notre Dame Pride – Calgary (6-0)

Defeated Lord Beaverbrook this week by a score of 33 to 8. Defense continues to play great. Bye this week

20 (NR) Sir Allan MacNabb – Hamilton, ON (7-0)

Defeated second place Westdale 37 to 22. Play in the division 1 semi-finals this week at Ivor Wynne Stadium versus 4th seed Waterdown at 7:00 pm. MacNab defeated Waterdown in week 1 38 to 6. CFC will be there šŸ™‚

21 (24) Donald A. Wilson Gators – Whitby, ON (4-0, 5-1)

Defeated Paul Dwyer 53 to 21. Greg Morris had 3 touchdowns, Chivon Gallagher had 2 and 7 converts and Omar Williams also had 2 TDs. Play Ajax this thursday then finish the season versus fellow undefeated Holy Trinity on tuesday November 2nd.

22 (15) Bernice MacNaughtan Highlanders- Moncton, NB (6-0)

Defeated Tantramar 17 to 6 to conclude the regular season undefeated. Fiinished season with a 198 to 25 points for and against record. Host last years provincial champs, Moncton, in quarter-final playoff game this week.

23 (21) Kelowna Owls – Kelowna, BC (3-0, 7-1)

Defeated Mt. Boucherie 22 to 10 in front of 1200 fans. Taylor Loffler played through the pain of a sore knee and scored on a short run and also threw TD passes to Carter Bilawchuk and Kyle Patchell.

24 (NR) Notre Dame – Burlington (5-0)

Defeated Corpus Christi (former CFC ‘HM’) in Halton cross over 35 to 14. Finish regular season Friday at home against Thomas Aquinas.

25 (NC) Oak Park Raiders – Winnipeg (6-1)

Defeated Churchill 36 to 3 to conclude their regular season. Running back Nic Demski finished the year as Manitoba AAA leading rusher with 84 carries, 905 yards, 13 rushing TDs and 3 receiving.
