CFCs ‘top running back’, Varga, commits to Western Mustangs (video 2x)

Tyler Varga, who CFC proclaimed the best running back in the class of 2011, has finally made his decision. Instead of going south of the border Tyler has decided to stay in Ontario and travel down highway 401 to London’s University of Western Ontario. Coach Marshall had this to say about Tyler’s decision to become a Mustang:

“Tyler is an exceptional student and athlete. He has the ability, work ethic and character to be an outstanding CIS running back. Tyler was certainly one of the most sought after recruits. His commitment to attend Western will have a major impact on our university and football program.”

Varga chose Western over Ivy League, Darmouth University (New Hampshire) and Baylor University (Texas).

β€œWestern has the best combination of football and academics. You’ve got great people there and a great football tradition,” said Varga.

Tyler is a gifted student in addition to being a great athlete. He carries a 94 percent average in Cameron Heights’ International Baccalaureate program and hopes to become an eye surgeon when his playing days are over.
