CFL, CIS communities in mourning

Ray Baillie.passed away on Monday night at the age of 80.

During his professional career, Baillie suited up for four different CFL teams in nine years, totalling 91 games. Those teams included Calgary Stampeders (1954), Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1957), Montreal Alouettes (three different stints: 1956 -1957, 1960-1961 and 1965) and Edmonton Eskimos (1962-1963).

After his illustrious CFL career, Baillie moved on to serve as Defensive Coordinator for the McGill Redmen in the 1970’s. During his time there, the Redmen made an appearance in the Vanier Cup finals.

In addition to the Redmen, Baillie also instructed Laval, Quebec high school squad, Chomeday Blues.
