CFLer Stevie Baggs gives back to Hamilton Wentworth Panthers

Hamilton Wentworth Panthers, who have provided community based football since 1982, proudly announces that on Monday, March 21st 2011, Stevie Baggs representing Stevie Baggs Foundation Gives Back to the Community, who is a gridiron football linebacker for the Canadian Football League’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He played college football at Bethune-Cookman. He is well known by his teammates and the CFL as “Shakespeare.” “All he does is make plays.”

Tim Fleiszer, representing Xenith Sports Equipment, former professional Canadian football defensive lineman who played ten seasons in the Canadian Football League. He won Grey Cup championships in 1999 with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, 2002 with the Montreal Alouettes, 2005 with the Edmonton Eskimos, and 2007 with the Saskatchewan Roughriders .

Will be presenting to the Hamilton Wentworth Minor Football Association Panthers Football Team (Non-Profit) ([url]www.hamiltonpantherfootball.com) a donation of “Xenith X1” Football Helmets.

This donation of helmets could not have come at a better time. OFC Varsity who the Panthers are a member of, and an affiliate of the OFC Jr Hurricanes has their Spring/Summer Varsity season starting on May 29, 2011 and they will be put to great use.

“These helmets are not only the best in the market for protecting players, but damn they look good!” states Samuel Preston, Media Relations Officer for the HWMFA.

The donation will take place at Michelangelo Banquet Center, 1555 Upper Ottawa St
