After losing this year’s high school championship game, Jamal has come a long way and learned a lot in both victory and defeat. He tasted sweet victory early by winning the Metro Bowl as a junior, a complete one-eighty from his first year as a junior to this past year as a senior with the Lions. Eager to bounce back from the heartbreaking loss, Jamal plans to have a great last ride and win the championship again.

Jamal has been recognized for his effort on the field as he’s received an outstanding Defensive Lineman Award and two Most Improved Player Awards. In three seasons

“The feeling of just hitting some one full out is amazing but I also like to strategize though, it actually takes a lot of thinking,” says Jamal of his key to success on the field.

He tries to emulate his playing style to NFL greats Ed Reed and Ray Lewis.  Jamal works the intensity and leadership of Ray Lewis, as well as the tackling/ball-hawking abilities of Ed Reed into his game on and off the field everyday.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
