βThe position of Director of Athletics is a complex one,β said Director of Student Services Keith Hotchkiss. βDuring his time here Steve has accomplished a great deal, but at the end of the day it wasnβt the fit we were looking for.β
βI will take away many great memories and countless friendships,β said Mr. Sarty. βI had the opportunity to work in a great environment with some amazing people and I am extremely grateful for this. I will certainly miss the connections with the student-athletes, coaches and friends and family of Saint Mary’s University but I will continue to be passionate for Huskies Athletics.”
An interim director will be appointed while a nationwide search for a replacement is organized. The University wishes Mr. Sarty well in future endeavours.
