Chilliwack: Atoms win first of year

The Chilliwack Giants Atom Blues finally have their 1[SUP]st[/SUP] win of the season over their rivals the Chilliwack Giants Atom Red team.

Defence really started hammering on all fours as they made 7 sacks allowing only 13 points against even though the Reds rushed for 163 yards. The Blues held them back when it counted. Justin Crooks led the way with 4 solo and 4 assisted tackles, 2 sacks and 2 TD’s. Andrew Locke, Kole Nelles and Colton Holt forged their way behind with great efforts on Defence and Special teams.

The Offensive line smashed, pushed and blocked to make those TD’s work. Grayson Hardie, Kaylee Roger, Sebastian Van Reeuwyk, and Pharaoh Parisian really worked hard and looked really good. QB Brandt Davies made some great passing completions to his #1 receiver Jalen Edwards for 42 yards and was very close on making more. Soon the offensive line won’t be something to reckon with. They’re working very hard on improving and giving time for playmakers. QB #34 Marley Edwards also completed a convert pass to #23 Mack Barton-Paquette for the extra point.

The Blues are really coming together as a team and shouldn’t be taken lightly, or else…look out.
