Chilliwack: Duiveld has over 200 yards on the ground

The Chilliwack JB Red Giants were in Abbotsford this past weekend playing the Falcons. After a very competitive first half, the Falcons pulled away in the second half and posted a 40-20 victory. Head coach, Jeff Samulak was pleased with his team’s effort considering they were without several key offensive players.

Leading the way on offense was Thijs Duinveld who churned up over 200 yards on the ground which included a 104 yard touchdown run. Making his debut as wide receiver, Sam Bolton hauled in 2 passes from Kirkland Kennedy. Cory Armstrong (picture) was also able to reach the endzone early in the first half. Helping to clear the path for the running backs were Rajah Sandu and Nick Dubusoff.

The Giants had some great defensive series throughout the game, including 2 goal line stands. Mike Folland and Treyvon Walsh made several tackles throughout the game with Folland also intercepting a pass early in the second half. The Giants are now preparing to face the Mission 9ers this Saturday out at Townsend Park.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
