The Prairie Football Conference is pleased to announce the PFC Rookie All-Star Team for the 2015 regular season.
Of the nine awards given the Regina Thunder collect five of them.
Offensive Line:
Skye King – Calgary Colts
Running Back
Armand Katamba – Edmonton Wildcats – 25 carries for 156 yards and 1 touchdown
Receiver:
Kristopher Calcutt – Regina Thunder – 6 receptions for 78 yards and 2 touchdowns
Quarterback:
Sawyer Buettner – Regina Thunder – 33 of 56 for 485 yards, 59.9% completion percentage and 2 touchdowns
Defensive Line:
Chris Peet-Schwarz – Calgary Colts – 8 tackles, 3 assists, 1 sack, 2 knockdowns and 3 special teams tackles
Linebackers:
Tanner Smith – Regina Thunder – 6 tackles, 3 assists and 1 special teams tackle
Defensive Backs:
Tony Savchuk (pictured) – Edmonton Wildcats – 29 tackles, 4 assisted tackles, 1 sacks, 2 knockdowns,1 forced fumble and 5 interceptions
Punter:
Kristopher Calcutt – Regina Thunder – 29 punts, 818 net yards, 28.21 net average
Place Kicker:
Kristopher Calcutt – Regina Thunder – 10 of 14 in field goals for a 71.4%
The PFC will continue with the major announcements as the Offensive All-Stars will be announced tomorrow (Wednesday) at 12 noon MST. The PFC Final will kick-off at 1:00pm on Sunday afternoon in Saskatoon when the Hilltops host the Calgary Colts. The winner will host the 2015 Canadian Bowl National Championship game.
