CJFL Outstanding Offensive Player of the Week


Jordan Yantz – Quarterback – Vancouver Island Raiders

For the third time this season the BCFC Offensive Player of the Week is Vancouver Island Raiders quarterback Jordan Yantz.

The Regina native led the Raiders to their eighth win of the season on Saturday afternoon, finishing 19 of 27 for 267 yards and threw four touchdown passes to add to his conference lead of 30. He would also rush for 11 yards on three carries and scored a touchdown. He would account for 30 of the Raiders 63 points.

Chance Hanson – Defensiveback – Edmonton Huskies

Hanson had a very impressive night as his Huskie teammates squared off against their Clarke Park co-tenants the Wildcats on Saturday night as he amassed 30 defensive points thanks to 12 tackles and 2 quarterback sacks. The 30-point game narrowly missed the top 5 list among the single-game best individual defensive points in conference history.

CJFL Outstanding Special Teams Player of the Week


Carmine Gentile – Kicker – London Beefeaters

Carmine is this week’s special teams honouree as he single handedly with his foot led the Beefs to a 21-10 road victory over the Ottawa Sooners. The rookie out of London Catholic Central
connected on 6 of his 7 field goal attempts. His lone miss went for a 26 yard single for 19 of London’s 21 points. The six foot, 180 pounder punted 7 times for 164 yards and his 2 kick offs travelled a total of 69 yards.
