CJFL Main Camp PREVIEW: Calgary Colts (AUDIO)

he Calgary Colts came one win short of a storybook ending in 2014.Ā  Following a winless season in 2013, the Colts organization found one of the best junior football coaches in the country, as Matt ā€œSnoopā€ Blokker was brought in after a highly decorated resume in the BC Football Conference (BCFC).

As a result the Colts finished on a high note, winning their final three games of the regular season, all on the road.Ā  Their 4-4 record locked up third place in the PFC, sending them to Regina to take on the defending national champs in the semi-final.Ā Ā Ā  Just 11 months before the Colts and Thunder semi, Snoop coached his final game for the BCFC when his VI Raiders fell to the Thunder in the Canadian Bowl.

This time, Snoop guided his club to a 20-17 win in Regina, punching his ticket to the PFC final.Ā  The Colts ultimalely fell to the Hilltops, but the ground work has been laid for the Colts and they will come back stronger in 2015.

The Colts will kick off main camp on Friday July 24 and Ryan Watters (@ryan2tswatters) talks with Snoop about camp, last season and what the Colts have in store for the PFC in 2015.
