The Okanagan Sun announce that head coach Gavin Lake has been relieved of his coaching duties as of today.
Β Club President Paul Carson on the decision;
βDespite Gavin’s best efforts, this season has not progressed as we had hoped
βLike any coaching change, this decision is difficult as Gavin is a good man and a good coach who has made every effort to work towards the success of the Okanagan Sun.”
Paul Carson, who served as offensive line coach for 8 seasons prior to taking over as club President in 2012 will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
The club will begin a search for a new head coach immediately following the 2012 season.
