CJFL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: BCFC (1)

The CJFL is proud to announce the BCFC Players of the Week from Week 1 of the regular season.

Offensive Player of the Week
WR Khalik Johnson – Langley Rams

Despite falling in their season opener Johnson was fantastic making 10 receptions for 158 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns to keep the Rams in the game.

Defensive Player of the Week
LB Justin Makambo – Westshore Rebels

In the Rebels first win over the Langley Rams in recent memory the defence bent, but didn’t break lead by Makambo.  The first year Rebel amassed a pair of tackles, four assists, a knockdown and had two interceptions for a total of 37 return yards.

Special Teams Player of the Week
R Jamel Lyles Westshore Rebels

He was a spark plug for the Rebels in Week 1 returning three kick-offs including one 98 yards for a touchdown in the second half to squash the building momentum of the Rams.  Lyles also returned three punts for a total of 30 yards.
