PRAIRIE FOOTBALL CONFERENCE (PFC):

Quarterback – #13 Jaeden Marwick – Regina Thunder

Following two straight losses, the Regina Thunder found their grove again scoring 51 points, led by the Offensive Player of the Week, quarterback Jaeden Marwick.  He finished 22 of 28 for 346 yards and threw three touchdown passes.  He also averaged 10 yards a carry, totaling 30 yards.

BRITISH COLUMBIA FOOTBALL CONFERENCE (BCFC):

Receiver – #5 Arthur Fabbro – VI Raiders

On a beautiful sunny day in Nanaimo this past weekend the VI Raiders were able to throw the ball against the Rebels defence.   The main target was the BC Lions Offensive Player of the Week, receiver Arthur Fabbro.  He made six receptions for 156 yards, averaging 26 yards and scored three touchdowns, his biggest offensive game.

PRAIRIE FOOTBALL CONFERENCE (PFC):

Defensive Back – #5 Menedum Menegbo – Regina Thunder

The Defensive Player of the Week was seemingly in on every tackle as the Regina Thunder won their fourth game of the year.  Menedum Menegbo compiled two interceptions, returning one 74 yards, he collected four tackles, one assisted tackle and a knockdown for 19 points.  This is his first award of the year.

BRITISH COLUMBIA FOOTBALL CONFERENCE (BCFC):

Linebacker – #26 Keagan Hughes – Okanagan Sun

The Okanagan Sun had a game plan on defence to slow the high octane offence of the Broncos and it seemingly centered around linebacker Keagan Hughes.  The West Kelowna product was consistently in the face of the Broncos pivot, totaling six tackles, had a half sack, an assisted tackle and blocked a punt.  It’s the second consecutive week a Sun defender has been named the BC Lions Defensive Player of the Week.

PRAIRIE FOOTBALL CONFERENCE (PFC):

Returner – #20 Adam Machart – Saskatoon Hilltops

The Saskatoon Hilltops showed they can scored on the opposition in a number of different ways.  The Special Teams Player of the Week, Adam Machart scored on a 94 yard kick-off return in the Toppers sixth straight win.  He tallied three kick-off returns for 145 yards and added a missed field goal return 36 yards.  It’s the second time a Hilltops player has won this award.

BRITISH COLUMBIA FOOTBALL CONFERENCE (BCFC):

Kicker – #39 Brian Hope – Langley Rams

The Rams won their fifth game of the year last weekend and kicker Brian Hope was right in the thick of the scoring.  The BC Lions Special Teams Player of the Week was a perfect 3-3 in field goals connecting from 27, 32 and 33 yards away and was 3-3 in converts.  Hope collected a single on two punts totally 95 yards and smacked four kick-offs 225 yards.  It’s the second time Hope has been named a Player of the Week.
