PFC WEEK 8:

Running back – #22 Wayndel Lewis – Saskatoon Hilltops

The Saskatoon Hilltops moved into sole possession of first place in the PFC after blasting the Winnipeg Rifles 44-19 last weekend.Β  The Hilltops controlled the game with their running attack as the PFC Offensive Player of the Week Wayndel Lewis rushed 26 times for 174 yards and had a pair of touchdowns.Β  This is the third time this season the Warman Saskatchewan native has won this honour.

BCFC WEEK 11:

Receiver – #81 Marshall Cook – Vancouver Island Raiders

Marshall Cook of the Vancouver Island Raiders capped off an unbelievable year with seven catches for 258 yards, setting a new Raiders team record for most pass receiving yards in a game.Β  He also caught a touchdown pass.Β  Cook is the β€œBC Lions Offensive Player of the Week,” for the second time this season.Β  He is also the BCFC’s top receiver following the regular season with 64 catches for 1,084 yards, both third most in BCFC history.

PFC WEEK 8:

Linebacker – #48 Brandon Whitehouse – Regina Thunder

The Regina Thunder played to the only tie in the PFC this season.Β  The Defensive Player of the Week, linebacker Brandon Whitehouse was outstanding, recording a game high nine solo tackles and the only two sacks the Thunder tallied.

BCFC WEEK 11:

Defensive Back – #9 Braeden Swatez – Westshore Rebels

The Westshore Rebels concluded their season last weekend in a loss to their Island rivals.Β  Despite the set-back, the β€œBC Lions Defensive Player of the Week,” is defensive back Braeden Swatez who had a terrific regular season finale.Β  The third year starter intercepted three passes and recovered a fumble, while making a solo tackle and assisting on two others.Β  His three picks give him seven this season, a BCFC high.

CJFL Special Teams POW

PFC WEEK 8:

Returner – #13 Keiko Kelly – Calgary Colts

The Calgary Colts have won two straight games for the first time since 2012 thanks to a blowout win in Edmonton last week.Β  The play of the game, maybe the year, came from the Special Teams Player of the Week, returner Keiko Kelly.Β  Following a missed field goal, Kelly returned the kick 120 yards for a touchdown, sealing the win for the Colts.Β  He also had two other punt returns, totally 15 yards.

BCFC WEEK 11:

Kicker – #2 Dan Erickson – Valley Huskers

Saturday the Valley Huskers finished off the 2014 season in a loss to the Langley Rams.Β  Kicker Dan Erickson was very busy and is named the β€œBC Lions Special Teams Player of the Week.”  The veteran connected on a 37 yard field goal and was perfect 2-2 in converts.Β  He also punted nine times for 314 yards and made four kick-offs totaling 134 yards.Β  Its the first time this season that Erickson was won this award.Β  Erickson concludes the season punting a Conference high 72 punts, netting 2.016 yards
