CJFL: Three ‘R’s look to continue rolling as BCFC enters second half

A broken down bus caused a delay of an hour and a half prior to last week’s tilt between the Westshore Rebels and the Okanagan Sun but when things finally got underway the Rebels showed that there was nothing broken about their game plan.

The Rebels (4-1) continued their run as the BCFC’s hottest team winning their fourth in a row by knocking off the Sun (1-4) by a score of 27-24. The Rebels will look to make it five straight victories this Sunday, September 16 when they return home to host the Kamloops Broncos (1-4) at Bear Mountain Stadium. Kickoff is at 4 pm.

The week’s action actually kicks off one day earlier on Saturday, September 15 with a pair of games. The Sun, now losers of three straight games, will face another tough task when they host the Vancouver Island Raiders (4-0-1) who are riding a three-game win streak after pounding the Chilliwack Huskers last week. Kickoff is 1 pm at the Apple Bowl in Kelowna.

The other game on Saturday takes place at Exhibition Stadium in Chilliwack where the woeful Huskers (0-5) will host the Langley Rams (4-0-1). Langley pounded the Broncos last week by a score of 55-10.
