Brandon has been playing football for 9 seasons (2 Bantam, 4 Midget, 3 High School).

He won city championships in Grade 11 and Grade 12, as well as the northern provincial championship in Grade 12. Has played DB, RB and was team captain and MVP. Lead team in interceptions, forced fumbles, blocked punts and defensive yardage. Also second leading rusher on offence. Was a starter all three years at high school, and also ran track in 100m and 200m events.

His most memorable football experience was the City Championship in 2009 vs. Ross Sheppard. It was the school’s first city championship in 14 years. Brandon blocked a field goal and it was returned to set up a field goal. He also tackled a RS punt returner in the end zone for a single point, and they won the game (after a blocked PAT) by a score of 11-10.

When asked about his influences Brandon told CFC the following:

“I have many big influences in my life; my parents who have been loving and supportive and never missed a game, my cousin Colin Marcotte who has been like a brother to me, my football head coach at Harry Ainlay Danny Boily and the now Athletic director at Harry Ainlay (former defensive coordinator) George Hoyt.

The two football people who have helped me most are also Danny Boily and George Hoyt. George Hoyt made me the aggressive player I am today, he believed in me from the moment I came to spring camp in my rookie year, he gave me a shot as a starter and I never lost that since. And even though he is not one of the football coaches anymore, he still coaches me and is a mentor and friend. Danny Boily is also a huge aspect in my football career, he got me training with the team even before high school, and has coached me for six seasons of football. He has been an amazing coach and is helping me so much to this day.”
