After Dillon’s first year in peewee he moved up to junior high and got most outstanding grade 8 player in the SAMFA. His grade 9 year was a memorable one, with the team going undefeated and winning provincials and him being awarded outstanding offensive player in the SAMFA.
In grade 10 Dillon did it all, starting at receiver, defensive back, punt & kick returner and coverage teams. The Comets also went undefeated that year winning the provincials and defeating two American opponents ‘to boot’. In grade 11 he played all the same positions but got a breather on field goal and kick off :). The Comets again went undefeated against Canadian opponents but did lose two games to American teams.
In grade 12, playing all the same positions, the team again went undefeated, winning the provincial title and defeating all American opponents. Dillon was awarded “most outstanding / all star Defensive back” and “most outstanding / all star receiver”. In his entire high school career (grade 9-12) his team only lost two football games.

With lots of memorable experiences, Dillon said his most memorable ones other than all the championship wins, was his first home game and a few special touchdowns.

His most influential people in football are his coaches, brothers, and Dad. “My coaches have all played at the next level and I looked up to them and knew everything they were saying would help me out. They knew what they were talking about and really wanted us to excel and get better. Also my oldest brother has always kind of been an idol for me. He went and played for the university of Calgary and started his first year. He got top receiver a few times i think in the west conference. He was also a punt and kick returner.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
