As mentioned, Kalvin has been playing football for 8 years, all of which he has played with the Brampton Bulldogs. In 2010, the Brampton Bulldogs (JV) won the OVFL championship and Kalvin was a DB, RB, and team captain.

Kalvin played for Team Ontario West in 2009 and 2010. In ’10 he was a tourney all star and was player of the game versus Manitoba. He has traveled with the Brampton Bulldogs to play U.S. opponents in a tourney they have won in 2008, 2009, & 2010.

He has been a starter and captain the last 4 years for his high school, and this year the team won their regional championship in Peel (ROPSSAA). Kalvin also runs track, winning gold and silver in the OFSAA relays. He won co-fastest in the 40 at the National Underclassmen combine in Detroit, clocked at 4.36.

His most memorable football experience was winning ROPSSAA this year and he names his parents as the biggest influence in his life. “Their love, support, and encouragement have been crucial in all my success”, Kalvin told us.

Finally, the football person who has helped him the most is Brampton Bulldog president, jack of all trades, Ian Smith. Kalvin told CFC “he has been an amazing positive influence/role model, not only for me, but for lots of kids both on and off the field. I would not have achieved what I have so far without him.”
