As mentioned above Marcus started playing football at 12 years old. The reason he started playing was to keep out of the trouble many of his peers were getting in too. In 2006 he joined the Toronto Wildcats and coach Glen Beardsley helped him polish his defensive back skills. He enrolled at Chaminade College in 2006 and the team was not that successful at the time. It was a challenge for Marcus as he began playing running back, linebacker and defensive back.

Many awards and accolades have resulted from Marcus’ hard work. He was the Toronto Wildcat Jr MVP, Chaminade College MVP, 2010 Toronto All star team, 2009 and 2010 GTA all star team and in 2009 and 2010 was NUC (National underclass combine) co-DB award winner.

His most memorable experience was “beating mayor Rob Ford’s Don Bosco Eagles twice in one year as it is a very heated rivalry.”

His most influential person is his life is his mother. “Born in Jamaica and really doesn’t know a thing about football but still came out to every game that she could come too and really just gave me 100% love, and just seeing her fight hard for me and my two sisters to live a normal life, and really sacrificed most of her time for me to be at where I am today speaks volumes on her character and i would think that is where i get my drive and heart from. Coach Pat Diodati Head Coach at chaminade really in the 5 years that i have been at Chaminade really become a father figure to me, is always looking out for my best interest and really has been a great for me in this recruiting process always making sure my head is on my shoulders, and showing me Love that a father would give to his son and really if i would need anything he would be the first person i could run to and really speaks volumes on the relationship that we share not only on the football field but in Life. Lastly My big brother figure Travis Noel who payed at University of Marshall and really just learned from him and really just helped get to that next level of football and always told me their is always someone out there better that you so catch him.”

Off the field Marcus gives back to his community by teaching kids at church and teaching them about how to become a better person. When his football days are done he hopes to become a lawyer or a coach.
