Today CFC features class of 2011 defensive back Sean Mayzes from the BC provincial champion Vancouver College Fightin’ Irish. 2010 was Sean’s fourth year playing football.

Sean has played 4 years of football: Grade 8 and Grades 10 to 12. 2010 was a big year for Sean: BC AAA provincial all-star, Western Conference all-star, Football Canada Cup bronze medalist, BC Subway Bowl Champion, Vancouver College Fightin’ Irish most improved player…10 touchdowns, 4 interceptions (resulting in 3 TDs), 12 receptions for 436 yards, 17 returns for 532 yards, 46 tackles in 13 games.
Sean’s most memorable experience was winning the BC AAA championship in 2010. “We played the perfect game and winning it with that group of guys was the best thing that ever happened to me.”
The most influential person in Sean’s football career is VC Head Coach Bernett. “He always believed in me and always saw the potential I had, even when I didn’t see it myself.”
