Defensive Back / Receiver

Team:
Hunting Hills high school (Red Deer, AB) #25

Commitment: Alberta

As mentioned above Tyler started playing football in grade 9 but it was not until grade 11 that he decided to put the focus towards football in hopes of playing at the university level. He has played for Hunting Hills his entire career and this year capped it off with the school’s first ever league championship. On top of that, Tyler was named the league MVP (CASAA).

His most memorable football experience “is definitely our league championship game that went into six overtime periods. I did not play that great for most of the game but i was able pick up my game enough at the end for us to get the win and i made two field goals in overtime to keep us in the game.”

The people who have helped him along the way include “my head coach Kyle Sedgwick has helped me develop as a football player the most. I also got a trainer to help teach me how to workout more specifically for football. Also my parents have always supported me in everything i do including football.”

Tyler plans on working really hard at U of A and doing his best to help the program reach elite CIS status.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
