Class 2012: Defensive back Francis Boily Looking for CIS Program

After winning 2 CEGEP division 1 championships and a Canada cup , Defensive Back Francis Boily looking for opportunity to play at next level.


Francis Boily began playing football in his hometown of QuΓ©bec, Qc for Saint-Jean Eudes. After spending 5 years with the program and being named an Juvenile AAA all star in his final year, Francis was recruited by the Elans de FX-Garneau, a successful program in division 1 CEGEP also located in his hometown. Francis began his CEGEP career in 2008 where he won the league Championship. Francis spent 4 years with the Elans and also won the championship this season in his final CEGEP year. Francis has also proven to be a good football player as he made team Quebec in 2008. His team went on to win the football Canada cup and for Francis, it was one of the best moments in his football career.

“Winning the Canada cup in 2008, and then winning the Bol d’Or on my old field at Saint-Jean Eudes, those were great moments that i will never forget” said Francis.

The 5’10, 170 pound defensive back has shown he can play and compete at a very high level on both the CEGEP and national stages. Francis will be heading to University in 2012 and would like to play CIS football.

“I will be heading to University to finish my education, but I am yet to be approached by a CIS school, I would love to get an opportunity to play at the next level” said Boily.

Francis added that the people that have influenced him the most during his football career have been his previous coaches SΓ©bastien PrΓ©mont, who coached Francis at Saint-Jean Eudes and his defensive coach at FX Garneau Francis Boivin.

“Those 2 coaches really showed me how to play the game, without them, I would not have been able to do the things I have done with the game of football”.
