Class 2012: Kyle Fraser to continue next football chapter at Guelph (Video)

Today, CFC shines the spotlight on class 2012 star offensive lineman and recent University of Guelph commit, Kyle Fraser. Kyle started playing football at 13 years of age.

Kyle has enjoyed a successful career while playing on many different teams. Starting out in the Niagara Region Minor Football Association (NRMFA) with the Welland Cowboys, the star offensive lineman continued the path by playing for the Niagara Spears of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL), and his high school team, the Lakeshore Catholic Gators.

During his career, Kyle reached the final of the Golden Horseshoe Bowl twice with the Gators (2009, 2010). Demonstrating his stellar play on the field with the Spears, the standout is a two time OVFL all-star and represented Team Ontario West at the 2010 Football Canada Cup in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Furthermore, he was named to the Golden Horseshoe team that will play in the upcoming all-atr game May 6th at McMaster University.

Next up for Kyle will be playing university football at Guelph. He selected the program because of the coaches and the campus.

“I committed to Guelph because I feel the coaches and the players have an unbreakable bond which will overall take a team a long way and be successful in their program,” explains the future Gryphons player of his reasons.

Academically, the offensive star plans to obtain a Master’s degree. As for future career plans, he would like to become a police officer.

Kyle is appreciative of having his family and friends encourage yet motivate him into the player and person he is today.

As he prepares to move on to Guelph, the standout says that he takes away one thing he’s learned thus far in the game which will help him achieve success in all his football and life endeavours.

“Thatl ife is like a game of football you have to work hard for ever inch you want in this world,” comments Kyle.
