Class 2012: LB / DB Jean-Phillippe Bolduc commits to Rouge et Or.(VIDEO)

After 4 successful season’s with the Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars, Bolduc will head to the University of Laval to pursue his education.

Bolduc began his career at ” le college Bourget “, a small college in the suburbs of Montreal. He made his way to the team QuΓ©bec tryouts in 2007 and was then recruited by Champlain-Lennoxville head coach Jean-Francois Joncas. Jean-Phillippe then made his way to Champlain-Lennoxville to learn english and have an opportunity to play in divsion 1 cegep football. He played 4 seasons with the Cougars and was named a league all star in 2010.

” Going to Champlain was the best decision of my life, i really enjoyed my time with the Cougars ” said Bolduc.

Jean-Phillippe also has some football experience on the international stage. He played for team Canada in 2009, he was named team captain and also to the tournament all star team. Bolduc added that being selected on the national team is something that he will never forget.

“It was a great experience, a good group of guys and very good ball players, all in all, a great tournament to be a part of” .

Jean-Phillippe also said that without his father and his teammates, his great football moments would have not been possible.

“My father was a great influence in my life and thought me never to take anything for granted. My 2 teammates Danny Groulx and Felix Faubert-Lussier have always also been there for me, on and off the field” said Bolduc.

Bolduc and Felix Faubert-Lussier will be roomates at Laval.

Bolduc will be enrolling at the University of Laval in January of 2012. He had previously commited to the Rouge et Or at the end of last year but Jean-Phillippe stayed with the Cougars one final season due to academic reasons.

Jean-Phillippe will be studying an undergrad in economics with a minor in political science.
