Class 2012: Offensive Lineman Nicolas Cusson – decides on Vert et or

Nicolas Cusson knows he will play in the CIS, he is still looking for the right program.

Nicolas Cusson began playing football at La Poudriere high school in his hometown of Drummondville ,QC. He also played in the Wilson challenge in 2007. During the tournament, Nicolas then got asked to try out for team QuΓ©bec. He made the roster for the 2008 Canada cup team and team QuΓ©bec went on to win the championship. Nicolas then transferred high schools and made his way to Trois-RiviΓ¨res, where he played with “les Estacades”. Cusson earned a spot on the All star team that season.

In 2009, Nicolas began his cegep career with the Champlain-Lennoxville cougars (CEGEP DIV 1). Cusson had been with the Cougars for the last 3 football seasons and has enjoyed great success.

The 6’2, 295 pound Offensive Lineman is on many CIS recruitement lists. His size and work ethic have made him among the best Lineman available.He has experience at all positions on the Offensive Line but has been used more frequently at the right guard position. Nicolas has received attention form various teams but is currently leaning towards either Laval or Sherbrooke.

“I am currently highly considering Laval or Sherbrooke, there both very strong programs and have a good academic programs” said Cusson.

Nicolas will be enrolling in University in September of 2012 and will be studying computer science.
