Leo Hayes Lions Quarterback Alex Dee is looking for oppurtunity to compete in CIS.

Alex Dee has experience playing football for 3 different high school programs. He played for the Fredericton high school Black Kats in grade 9 before heading to the U.S.A where he played one season for Lake Travis High School in Austin Texas. After finishing grade 10, he once again transfered to Fredericton high school to play with the Black Kats. For his senior year, Alex made the decision to attend the other high school in Fredericton, Leo Hayes. This season, Alex was named the top Offensive player of his league, his school and was also named on the provincial all star team. Alex had a strong season in the pocket.

Alex’s best football moment came when he was a Black Kat in grade 11 when he plunged in the end zone for a 2 point conversion that tied the provincial final, The convert was a big step to winning championship that day.

” I will never forget that Moment, It was a good day”.

The 6’0, 175 pound Quarterback is a pocket passer but can also scramble when needed. Alex is also considering playing Wide receiver at the next level.

“I am a QB but I would not mind playing receiver at next level, its something I’d like to do” said Dee.

Alex has not received an offer from a CIS school but thinks he can offer something good to a University program. He is considering STFX as he wants to pursue his studies and would likely try out for the team as a walk on.

Alex added that his father has been without a doubt, the most influential person in his life.

“My father always told me that I could acheive anything if I really wanted it, he pushed me to become a better player and a better person”.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
