
Today, CFC shines the spotlight on class 2012 star wide receiver and recent University of British Columbia commit, Wesley Livermore. Wesley played high school football for the Assumption Crusaders.

Over the course of his career, Wesley has been an effective yet dominant offensive star on the field. During his time with the Burlington Stampeders of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC), the standout was team MVP in 2010 and league all-star in 2011.
While playing for his high school team the Assumption Crusaders, Wesley was team offensive MVP three consecutive times (2008-2010). There is a special moment the Crusaders wide receiver experienced during his high school career.
“My most memorable football experience is winning the Mud Bowl at Nelson in grade ten,” comments Wesley.
Additionally, the offensive gun was a captain for Team Ontario West that participated at the Football Canada Cup in Lethbridge, Alberta (July 2011). Wesley is also a two time Golden Horseshoe all-star selection (2011, 2012) and will play in this year’s game at McMaster University on May 6th.
Recently, the offensive star made a decision on his future as he made a commitment to University of British Columbia.
“I committed to UBC because of coaching staff, overall school as well as football program and opportunity,” adds the future Thunderbirds player of his reasons for choosing the school. “The best coast is the West Coast.”
There are some certain individuals that have made an impact on Wesley as a player and a person.
“The most influential people in football are the older players in the CIS (Canadian Interuniversity Sport) I’ve grown up with and trained with,” says the Crusaders standout.
Once he does step foot onto the University of British Columbia campus, Wesley will continue to shine on and off the field using some key skills that has guided him to success.
“Football has taught me hard work and discipline, as well as balancing homework, training and practices,” comments Wesley.
