After 3 strong seasons with Beauce-Appalaches, Remi Thibault is looking at next level.
Remi Thibault began playing football in the Northern part of QuΓ©bec, playing for les Vikings de Baie-Comeau, a Juvenile AA program. Remi played as a Defensive end for the Vikings during 4 seasons. He then suited up for Lac st-Jean of the Midget AA league for the next 3 seasons. Remi was used as a receiver and also as a Quarterback during his final season. He was then approached by “les Condors de Beauce-Appalaches” a CEGEP division 2 program in St-Georges de Beauce, QC.
The 6’3, 200 pound Thibault spent the next 3 seasons with the Condors where he was used as a slotback. Remi put up strong numbers during all 3 CEGEP seasons and became a target for strong university programs such as Laval, Montreal and Sherbrooke.
“I am currently looking at all 3 programs to see what my better option is, they all have good things to offer” said Remi.
Remi added that his previous coaches and parents helped him alot along the way.
“The Vikings coaching staff made me a good player and gave me the oppurtunity to play at the CEGEP level, when coach Audet (Condors) came in the picture, he made sure i was heading in the right direction, I respect them alot” said Thibault.
“My parents where also great as they supported me in everything I have ever done, On and Off the field”.
Remi said that his 3 seasons with the Condors where very memorable and he had some times he will never forget as a player. His most memorable football moment came this season when they upset heavy favorite Sherbrooke Volontaires on the last play of the game.
“When we upset Sherbrooke, I cant ever describe how I felt, the Condors program had never beat Sherbrooke and myself either. Beating them in a playoff game was unbelievable, it was a great day to be a Condors”.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
