Only playing for four seasons, Dayvon has already powered his way up the football ranks. Among the teams he has suited up for are his high school squad, the Don Bosco Eagles and the Metro Toronto Wildcats of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).

Dayvon experienced the highlight of his career while playing for the Wildcats.

“My favorite moment in football was advancing to the playoffs with a first round bye and being the first ever peewee team to make the playoffs in Metro Toronto Wildcats history,” explains the star defensive back, who was the special teams player of the year for the peewee Wildcats in 2009 and the junior varsity Wildcats in 2010.

Already, the standout is looking at what options he has to play at the college/university level. He has narrowed down where he would like to play in Canada and the States based on certain criteria that are important to him.

“The reason I choose the schools I have chosen was because I love how their system works,” comments Dayvon. “They are very similar to the Canada and I can play a very important role in the way they play.”

“Those schools I have chosen live and die off technique, hard work and running the extra mile to get the win.”

Constantly trying to better himself as a player, there is one person that has influenced Dayvon to improve his game.

“The most influential person in my life is my brother who played the football and gives me tips on how to improve my game,” says the Eagles defensive back, who plays saxophone in spare time away from football.

In order to be successful at the next level of football, Dayvon knows what it will take based on what he’s learned on the field.

“Football toughens me up mentally and physically and prepares me for how life will be,” comments Dayvon. “One thing I learned is that I only get one opportunity.”
