Pelle’s football resume is loaded with experience. The star player’s first team was the peewee Toronto Wildcats of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL). During his time with the Wildcats, Pelle played running back and was a kick/punt returner. Additionally, the star running back played with the bantam North York Grizzlies of the Central Ontario Minor Football League (COMFL).

The standout realized football glory while he played with his high school team, the Upper Canada College Blues. In 2009, the Blues were Canadian Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA) junior varsity champions. Pelle made a significant contribution in the Blues success in the 2010 season as the team won the senior CISAA senior championship title.

Most recently, the Blues star running back experienced the greatest experience of his young football career as he had the opportunity to represent Team Ontario East at the Canada Football Cup in Lethbridge, Alberta (July 2011).

“It was a great learning experience and good to meet other players,” adds Pelle, who received three straight all-star nominations in the OVFL and was selected to the GTA Rising Stars team. “The skills competition with all teams was particularly fun; I competed in the 40-yard dash where I played third.”

Pelle’s drive towards achieving football success comes from the influence his mother has been in his life.

“My mom is the most influential person for me,” explains the Blues running back who enjoys participating in track and rock climbing in his spare time away from the field. “Sheā€™s been to nearly every football game Iā€™ve ever had in my life despite the fact she canā€™t tell whose on offense and inspires me to work harder with a healthy love of competition.”

Even though he only has one year of high school remaining, the standout is not sure yet what future career avenue he would like to pursue. However, one field he has some interest in is architecture.

Overall, the football experience has given Pelle the tools of success when it comes to attaining all his goals.

“Football has helped to teach me that hard work, practice and a little bit of luck can make a huge difference in anything you apply it to,” says Pelle.
