Peter began his playing career in grade 7 and the last three summers he has played summer ball for the Metro Toronto Wildcats (2 years in peewee, 1 in JV). As well, he has played junior high school football (grade 10) for Northern Secondary and senior high school football with St. Andrew’s college in grade 11. It was during Peter’s last year of peewee where he started to develop a strong passion for the game. He was named a Junior Varsity (OVFL) all-star this past summer, along with Metro Toronto Wildcat linemen of the year; and team captain at both levels. Later in 2010 he tried out and made the GTA’s rising star team.

Peter has two memorable football experiences: “First, losing in the South regional finals, in overtime to Lawrence Park, in 2009 by a score of 15-14. Second, losing the C/I.S.S.A Championship, to UCC in overtime by a score of 40-34. Pretty much just losing the two finals I’ve been in both in overtime, where my team was just inches away from scoring and winning the game.”

Peter has a few people to credit for his football and life’s success. “My father, whom has been to every single game I’ve ever played, taught me sportsmanship and how to play the game. My head coach at MTW JV, Ryan Clutterbuck, and my offensive line coach, Richard Zulys, both were huge mentors in my life and I felt like when they improved my game 100%. My Head Coach at SAC, Len Gurr, whom is an excellent Coach/Teacher/advisor, and I feel like I can go to him for anything.”

Peter is maintaining an 81% average at SAC and will be playing Left Tackle next year, replacing Eddie Meredith who is going on to play at Boston College.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
