Marcus started playing football with the Saanich Wolverines playing receiver, running back, quarterback and almost every position on defense. He played with the Wolverines until he was 13. At the age of 13 he played for the Victoria Renegades. Presently he plays for his high school Mount Douglas, where he plays both receiver and defensive back, getting the odd repetition at running back as well.

Marcus has been performing extremely well at a variety of all-star camps and games. He was chosen by FBU to play in the Eastbay youth all-american game in 2011 and in 2010 he was selected the ‘most outstanding freshman receiver” at the Oregon Ducks football camp. Also in 2010 he was the “Best WR” at the Official players watch combine.

His most memorable football experience was “participating in the eastbay youth all-american game. In the 1st quarter USA scored to make it 14-0 and on the persueing kickoff I returned it 101 yards for a TD. And late in the 4th quarter we needed a score, I caught a pass and took it 82 yards for the game clinching TD. I had 316 total yards and 2 td’s.”

The most influential people for Marcus are ” my high school coaches Alan Chocrane and Mark Townsend. They are so dedicated to the team, they have helped me become a great football player and they taught me how to become a better person in life. I can’t leave out my coaches from the Wolverines, Charly and John Cardilicchia; they are the ones who taught me how to play.
The most influential person in life is my mom and my older brother Terrell.”

Marcus also plays basketball and lacrosse. He was selected for Team BC to play at the nationals last summer, where they placed 2nd. Marcus sees himself as a hard working, humble person.
