Class 2017 recruit to script next gridiron chapter in United States

Another Canadian prospect is headed down south of the border in the hopes of getting one step closer in realizing his gridiron dreams.

Ontario Prospect Challenge’s (OPC) Jesse Luketa is the most recent standout to make the move.  The 6’1, 185 pound defensive back from Ottawa, Ontario will suit up for US prep school team, McCallie Blue Tornadoes in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The Blue Tornadoes football program is renowned as an avenue where many future NFL players have progressed and developed.  With this move, Luketa is hopeful that he will realize his dream of receiving an NCAA Division 1 offer.

Luketa completed a stint with St. Patrick’s Fighting Irish of the National Capital Secondary School Athletic Association (NCSSAA).  This summer, he has been playing with the Cumberland Panthers of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).

His gridiron career began with the South Ottawa Mustangs of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA).

During his career, Luketa has been selected as a NCSSAA All-Star and won Rookie of the Year honours.

This past May, the defensive standout participated in OPC as a member of Team East’s junior varsity squad.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
