Coaches, old teammates draw commit to Guelph

Guelph adds an Ontario commit to their 2019 class.

Noah Wright, an offensive lineman from Champlain College Lennoxville, is heading back to the province of his birth after signing with the University of Guelph Gryphons.

Wright is originally from Scarborough, Ontario, however he moved to Sherbrooke, Quebec, to play with the Champlain College Cougars (RSEQ Division 1). Now he will be heading to Guelph for the 2019 season. “I chose to commit to Guelph because it has everything I need to succeed academically as well as athletically,” he said.

“I also really liked the offensive line coach, as well there are fellow Champlain Cougars at Guelph,” he added. “I really liked the coaching staff. They kept up with me throughout my season and were always encouraging.”

Wright is interested in taking either psychology or human kinetics.

The 6’1, 270lbs centre played with the Toronto Thunder (OFC) before moving to Quebec. He helped the Cougars win a Division 1 Bol d’Or in 2017, which was his first year with the team.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
