Commit grateful for opportunity with Guelph Gryphons

Guelph brings in an Ontario commit to their Class of 2017.

University of Guelph is ready to give Daniel Serravalle, a wide receiver from Saint Paul Catholic High School, a chance to show them what he is made of.

“I feel Guelph gives me the best opportunity to become the best football player I can possible be,” Serravalle said. “I’m very grateful for Guelph to have given me the opportunity to pursue university football.”

It won’t just be football that Serravalle will be dappling in at university. He said he committed to Guelph because it was the best choice for him both athletically and academically. He added that he is interested in Criminal Justice and Public policy.

The 5’11, 175lbs product of Niagara Falls, Ontario, probably won’t have much trouble getting along with his new bench bosses. “The coaching staff is very welcoming, honest, and experienced,” he said. “They relate to the players well.”

In his five-year career, Serravalle has played with the Saint Paul Patriots (Niagara Region High School Athletic Association) and the Niagara Spears (OVFL). When he reflected on his time in the sport, Serravalle knew he had a few people to credit for his growth. He said, “Thank you to all my past teammates and coaches who have helped me develop as a player on and off the field.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
