Cougars 26 – Hamilton Wentworth Panthers 25


Touchdowns were scored by Brandon Donkers, QB Zach Welten on a short run and Tristan Robinet had 45 yard interception for a TD. Tim Doermer was successful on a field goal and an extra point. And Zach Welten punted one through the endzone for a rouge to win the game with under a minute left.

Brandon Donkers rushed for 105 yards.
Zach Welten passed for 11 completions for 17 attempts for 124 yards.
Chris Verrall rushed for 34 yards.
Zach Welten scrambled for 24 yards.

On defense Jeremiah Hamilton had 3 interceptions and 7 tackles. Tristan Robinet had 2 interceptions, one for a 55 yard interception for a TD.
Adam Mariuz lead the team with 11 tackles, Jake Langstaff had 7 tackles, and Josh Shuian had 5 tackles. Brock Herman had 3 sacks and 2 tackles and Zach Shuian had 1 sack, 3 tackles, and 2 batted balls.

This was a great come back win for our Varsity team. Hopefully this is the win we needed to get us on track for the season to make the playoffs.

The Varsity Cougars next opponent is Burlington Stampeders at 7:00pm.
