Darting to Montreal (VIDEO)

Regina slotback joins RSEQ team’s 2014 class.

Jacob Carr is coming to ‘La Belle Province’.

Recently, the 6’2, 195 pound slotback from Regina, Saskatchewan committed to the Concordia Stingers. He will join the team for the 2014 RSEQ season.

Ultimately, he was swayed by the warm welcome and opportunities the football program presented to him.

“I committed because the coaches and players created such a welcoming environment and Montreal’s is an awesome city all-around,” said Carr.  “I feel like I can earn a starting spot and make plays to help the team be successful.”

Carr recently guided the Regina Thunder of the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) in the Canadian Junior Football Conference to a Canadian Bowl Championship this past fall. This past season, the slotback (who is also a return specialist) amassed 553 yards on 30 receptions and scored four touchdowns for the Thunder.

Previous to the Thunder, Carr suited up for the Dr. Martin Leboldus Golden Suns of the Regina Intercollegiate Football League (RIFL).
