DB Cenacle shines on both sides of the border

Cheetahs standout open to considerations.

Vanier Cheetahs defensive back Joshua Cenacle is working to shine on the field next season.

Football player for 9 years, Cenacle has played for the St-Hubert Rebelles and the Greefield Park Packers, where he won 4 different defensive back Most Valuable Player awards. He also played in NUC Showcase in California.

He is currently playing for CEGEP Division 1’s Vanier Cheetahs.

“I specifically chose this team because the education is very good, and they also have a good football program. Their coaches are very good at what they do and I learn everyday” says the defensive back.

The best moment of the last season for him was to start three games as a rookie.

Cenacle hopes to study and to play football in the United States.

“I did not have any NCAA offers yet, but I have played in the United States two times for All-Stars games.” adds the athlete, who said that playing in the NCAA would be his ultimate goal.

He maintained that this will be his second year; he still has time to think about it.

Cenacle believes he changed a lot overall as a player compared to last year.

“My work ethic is really what is going to make the difference for me.” Says the player.

For now, he is trying to focus on the next season.

“I am focusing on training and balling out” recalled the defensive back.
