LOGINPayton OβConnorβs father introduced the big defensive end to football at a young age. Every Sunday possible since Payton was a little kid, he would watch football by his Dadβs side.
βI used to see someone make a spectacular catch or a big hit and Iβd get adrenaline rushes just sitting on the coach watching,β he said. βAfter a player made a big play you could see a fire in their eyes an intensity, a swagger that they possessed that can make you feel like βOh Heβs the man!β And thatβs why I started football because I wanted that feeling, I wanted to be the man, I wanted to make the big plays and thatβs really what got me started.β
