Decision torn

CEGEP halfback recently commits to Vanier Cup Champions’ 2014 class.

It wasn’t an easy decision for one CEGEP standout, but he finally made it.

Recently, Raphael Robidoux-Bouchard committed to the Vanier Cup Champions, Laval Rouge et Or.Β  The 6’2, 195 pound halfback will joins the team for the 2014 RSEQ season.

β€œMy decision of going with the Rouge et Or was a difficult decision due to my experiences in Montreal with Sun Youth and the CVM Spartiates,” reflected Robidoux-Bouchard.Β  β€œFabrice Raymond who is the Defensive Backs Coach with the Carabins, was my coach for three years with the Spartiates.”

β€œWhat helped me to make my decision was the fact that Laval University is giving me the program of my choice (sportive intervention) and of course I want to be part of the best team in the country.”

The Quebec standout recently completed his CEGEP career with Division 1 team, Vieux Montreal Spartiates.Β  In 2013, he registered 32 tackles including three for a loss, three deflected passes and a forced fumble.Β  This was a comeback from the 2012 season, which Robidoux-Bouchard had to sit out with a torn ACL injury. He also served as captain of the team last season.
