First impression appeal

Lucas Depieri

Guelph running back recently joins OUA team’s 2014 class.

Making a good first impression was all Lucas Depieri needed to be swayed by his commitment decision.

Recently, the 5’6, 170 pound running back from Guelph, Ontario signed with the Waterloo Warriors for the 2014 OUA season.

“Waterloo was a great choice for me because it is close to my hometown, and has a great reputation for academics,” commented Depieri of his decision.  “From my first recruitment visit, I was impressed with both the facilities and the coaching staff.”

“The coaches, players and my recruiter, Gary Anapolsky made me feel right at home and you could immediately feel a strong sense of community and family.  I look forward to being a Warrior and being part of an up and coming team.”

Depieri joins the Warriors after completing his high school career with Guelph District 10’s Bishop MacDonell  Celtics of the Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association (CWOSSAA).  Additionally, he suited up for the Guelph Bears of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC).
