Green and gold future

CFC TOP 100 defensive lineman newest recruit to join RSEQ’s 2014 class.

CFC TOP 100 Remy Deschamps will be seeing a lot of green and gold in 2014.

The 6’5, 230 pound defensive lineman from Quebec recently committed to Sherbrooke Vert et Or for the 2014 RSEQ season.

Overall, Deschamps is looking forward to not only enjoying his new experience at the Sherbrooke campus, but also contributing to the success of the football program.

“I chose Sherbrooke as much for academics as well as athletics,” commented Deschamps of his decision.  “It is a very competitive team each year and has several quality players.”

“I think I can bring intensity and enthusiasm on defense.  I’m a pass rusher and I intend to build on my reliability to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks.”

The Quebec defensive lineman recently finished his CEGEP career with Division 1 team College Notre-Dame de Foy (CNDF).  Previous to CEGEP, he suited up for his high school team, RSEQ Juvenile Division 1’s Academie Saint-Louis Arsenal.  Academically, Deschamps is studying civil engineering.
