Calgary linebacker one of five CFC TOP 100 players to commit to CWUAA team’s 2014 class.

James Gaetz has opted to stay in his home province to commence his CIS career.

The 6’0, 210 pound linebacker who was born in Prince George, British Columbia has committed to the Calgary Dinos.Β  Gaetz will join the team for the 2014 CWUAA season.

β€œStaying at home with my family and friends really played a key factor in my commitment,” explained Gaetz of his decision.Β  β€œEver since I played in peewee, I wanted to play university football on a top team.”

β€œSince having that opportunity, it felt as if it was my destiny.”

Gaetz comes to the Dinos after completing his high school career with Henry Wise Wood Warriors of the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA).Β  From atom to midget, he played with the Stampeders.

The linebacker will be reunited with two former Warriors teammates as both receiver Isaiah McLellan and defensive back Andrew Britton have recently signed with the OUA school.

Gaetz is one of five CFC TOP 100 players to commit to the Dinos. The others are Britton, linebacker Micah Teitz, defensive lineman Joel Van Pelt and running back/linebacker Ross Delauw.
